ICON, a developer in Kyrgyzstan, wanted to present their housing development designed by DROM architects in Rotterdam through a short film. The goal was to weave a portrait of DROM with an explanation of the project they had envisioned. Drawing from the architects’ resources—a physical model, detailed diagrams, numerous booklets, and sketches—the film merges these elements into a cohesive cinematic narrative, utilizing techniques such as stop motion, top-down shots, and motion graphics.

We simplified the key masterplan decisions into a sequence of elements, namely 1. the green loop, 2. the building blocks, and 3. inner gardens and visualized it by combining physical model shots with motion graphics.
We gathered a diverse range of visual materials using the space and resources that was available to us within a single day.
The project renders were brought to life through AI software, eliminating the need to collaborate with an external rendering team.

Shots of the project booklets alongside sketches spread out on a working table create visuals that feel raw, authentic, and full of creative energy.
